Having a foot doesn´t mean you know how to walk

sculpture with 3D projection and live performance, Solo Show at Nihil Baxter, Berlin 2014

In the live size projection a virtual character is trying to walk and continues to fail in different ways. The body seems to be kind of autonomous and not willing to perform a simple step. The performer wears the same clothes as the character in the projection and so allows to compare movements.
The sculpture resembles a cross section of the foot. The sculpture allows the viewer an insight in the disfunctioning body. Gelantine is dripping through the open cracks as if the foot would produce some useles organic matter.
